Why believe in Jesus Christ

Is there any thing I can say that would make you believe that Jesus Chris is the Son of God and that he is the only we we can get to heaven? Why would you listen to me, I am not anything special. I am a sinner. If you look at my life you would say " Why should he be allowed in heaven?" and that is the key. I am not worthy of heaven. I love Jesus and I want to do all I can for him because he gave the ultimate sacrifice for me. He was beaten, and crucified for me. I am the sinner deserving of death. Not him. He never sinned. Yet he loved me so much that he stood in for me at judgment and he took my punishment upon him self so that I could be with him in heaven. If you were a god in heaven would you come to earth and become a man and be beaten and killed for me? I still am a sinner. The difference now is that I am forgiven. I make a lot of mistakes. I am ashamed of my life. It is not very pleasing to my Lord, but He loves me anyway. One day soon I will be with him.

What's Next?

I wanted to start out with that little bit of background to build a foundation of what is going on and from the look at what is coming. Jesus said in Mark 13:28-29 "Now learn this lesson from the fig tree: As soon as its twigs get tender and its leaves come out, you know that summer is near. Even so, when you see these things happening, you know that it is near, right at the door." We see that Jesus held the events I have already mentioned with a bit of importance. The budding of the fig tree is the rebirth of the Jewish nation of Israel. And Jesus says when you see that know the end is near. Some years have now passed since the birth of the Jewish nation. 60 years in fact, as Israel just celebrated their 60th anniversary. So What does that mean for us. What it means is that we are very close to the very end of life as we know it. In fact I believe we are now seeing the pieces all come together for the final act.

What is the final act. Well we know from Daniel 9:27 "He will confirm a covenant with many for one 'seven.'" He referred to above is the Anti-Christ, and He will confirm a covenant with many which we believe to mean that the Anti-Christ will bring about a peace deal with Israel and her neighbors. There is a lot in the news now about this very subject. Bush still would like to have a peace deal in place before he leaves office. Whether or not that actually happens remains to be seen. What it does mean is that we are that close. The one seven referred to above is 7 years. So if a peace deal is struck and signed in the near future, that could be the beginning of the last 7 years of life as we know it. Watch Israel, Everything God does is tied to Israel.

In the future I will give you more things to look for. But to start a major prophecy that we could see full filled would be a covenant between Israel and her neighbors. Also watch the players in this agreement as He (the Anti-Christ) will be participating but maybe not in the forefront until the middle of the seven years.

God bless you and keep you.

The fullfillment of another major prophecy

Last time I talked about the fulfillment of Ezekiel 34:13 with the Israeli Declaration of Independence made on May 14, 1948. This time lets look at the prophecy about the city of Jerusalem.

In Luke 21:24 we read "They will fall by the sword and will be taken as prisoners to all the nations. Jerusalem will be trampled on by the Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled." This is an amazing prophecy. It says that Jerusalem will be under the control of the Gentiles (Non Jewish people) until the time of the Gentiles is fulfilled. From June 5, 1967 – June 10, 1967 was the famous 6 day war. During that war Israel captured Jerusalem and returned control of Jerusalem to Israel. This is direct fulfillment of that prophecy in Luke.

Those 2 major prophecies are the key to the end times. These have set the fulfillment of the rest of the end times prophecies in motion. So I will now begin to focus on some of the prophecies that are in the process of being fulfilled now. These are very exciting times, we will see the hand of God and how his prophecies will be fulfilled to the very letter and exactly as written hundreds or thousands of years ago. If all the prophecies in the bible have been or will be fulfilled exactly as written, is there any reason to doubt the accuracy and authenticity of the rest of the bible. Seeing how bible prophecies are fulfilled exactly as written strengthens the believers faith and draws the skeptic to faith in Jesus. It is wonderful to see God working in our lives and in our times.

Until next time, keep looking up for in Luke 21:28 we read "When these things begin to take place, stand up and lift up your heads, because your redemption is drawing near."

What does bible prophecy have to do with us?

There are 2 directions I wanted to go with this, the first was what did Jesus say about prophecy and we will get to that but I decided it would be better to start looking at what bible prophecy means for us that are now alive on the earth. After all this stuff was written thousands of years ago. How could it possibly have anything to do with me?

With that, I think we need to look at 2, of what I call the larger prophecies. Only one of these was full filled during my lifetime. The other was full filled about 13 years before I was born. But both are absolutely amazing in the detail in which they were written and full filled. Lets look at the first one. Before Jesus was crucified, the Jews were living in Jerusalem. The land promised to them by God to Abraham. While Jesus was walking with his disciples he prophesied to them about the coming destruction of the temple and dispersion of Jewish people throughout the world. Luke 21:24 reads "They will fall by the sword and will be taken as prisoners to all the nations. Jerusalem will be trampled on by the Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled. " Jesus tells us why this happened in Luke 21:22 "For this is the time of punishment in fulfillment of all that has been written" So because the Jewish people rejected the prophets that God had sent them and ultimately they rejected His one and only Son, the Messiah. God then scattered the Jewish people throughout the world where they have been ever since. Was God done with the Jewish people? No way. Everything God does revolves around the Jews and Jerusalem. You will see more on that later. For now the Jewish people rejected their Messiah. So God punishes them by scattering them through out the world. But God was not done with them. God revealed his plan for the Jewish people through prophecy. About 600 years before Jesus came to earth the prophet Ezekiel wrote that the Jewish people would be restored to their land. This was written almost 700 years before the Jewish people were dispersed among the nations. Yet it tells how they will be brought back together in their own land. Ezekiel 34:13 "I will bring them out from the nations and gather them from the countries, and I will bring them into their own land. I will pasture them on the mountains of Israel, in the ravines and in all the settlements in the land." So almost 2500 years ago Ezekiel prophesied that the Lord would bring the Jewish people back to their own land, which they did not have until May 14, 1948. So here you see a very specific prophecy full filled right before my life time.

But wait, it gets better. Next time I will discuss the next big prophecy. One that was full filled during my lifetime.

Thank you for reading this blog.
May God bless you for it.

The Begining of the End

Welcome to my "The Endtime is Now" blog.

I am not a bible scholar, however I have been a student of eschatology for quite a long time. My plan for this blog is to look at the current world news stories and see how they may relate to bible prophecy. Everything in this blog should be taken as my personal opinion unless I am quoting the bible or a new source. I am not trying to teach anything I am only trying to make people aware that The Almighty God of Israel has provided us with his plan for this world we live in, and by doing so I hope that if you do not have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ that you would start one by accepting his wonderful free gift of forgiveness. Please don't delay in making that decision. Because none of us know when our time here on earth will be over, and we don't know if we will be given the chance to make that decision before we move in to eternity. Please don't take a chance with where you will spend eternity. If you don't understand what I am talking about then I encourage you to check out http://www.fourspirituallaws.org/laws/english/flash/
If you still have question find a good bible believing church and make an appointment with one of their staff. This is so important. Your eternal life hangs in the balance.

That being said lets move on to what you can expect to see in this blog. As a student of eschatology, I subscribe to several podcasts, email newsletters, snail mail newsletters and anything I can find about what is going on in the world today and how it relates to the bible. In doing so I find some of this stuff is so fascinating that I just want to talk about it and share it with others. That is why I am doing this blog, to share some of the things I have learned about bible prophecy with others.

So lets get into the whys of studying or following bible prophecy.

Somewhere between 1/4 and 1/3rd of the bible is prophecy. Some has already been full filled and some is waiting to be full filled. Lets look at some of the prophecies that have already been full filled.

There are over 100 prophecies written about the first coming of Jesus Christ. All have been validated as being written before His actual first coming. All were full filled exactly as written. Here are some examples.

http://www.jesus-is-the-way.com/FirstComing.html

Jesus would be born in Bethlehem (Micah 5:2; Matthew 2:4-6; John 7:42)

Jesus would be from Nazareth and was called a Nazarene. (Matthew 2:23; Luke 1:26-27; John 1:45; Judges 13:5-7,24)

The exact time of His crucifixion was foretold (483 years from the decree to build the temple, which was around 444 B.C.E.). (Daniel 9:25; Nehemiah 2:1-8; 5:14)

Look at the prophecies and you will see some were written as much as thousands of years before Jesus came to earth the first time and yet they were full filled to the letter. There is no ambiguity here. This is not symbols that require interpretation. The prophecy is clear and easy to understand. The prophecies were full filled exactly as written. "If the plain sense makes sense, don't look for any other sense, or you will end up with nonsense." Irvin Baxter and others.

So if you look at the prophecies in the bible that have already been full filled you will see the bible is trust worthy and true. There is no mistake that everything that has not yet been full filled will be full filled just as it is written. The prophecies that have been full filled are to help us believe that that the remaining prophecies will be full fulled exactly as written. So in my next blog I will start looking at the prophecies of our time and how they have been full filled or are being full filled or how they might be full filled. This blog if for us in our time, what we see happening and what is going to be happening. Won't you join me on this adventure into the what Jesus is telling us about our time, "The Endtime"
